Stop changing Stewie! He started off as a diabolical killer who wasn't a very deep character. It also doesn't help that much of her dialogue is devoted to calling Peter obscene names. It was slightly funny at first, but now they have completely drained her of what little depth she had in the first place, a complete waste of the great voice acting capacity of Mila Kunis. She no longer has any friends at all and is basically now used as a punching bag for other characters. Meg's character has transformed from the shy, unconfident square peg in the family to a completely friendless, hated character who rarely gets any dialogue whatsover, and spends most of her screentime being berated and verbally abused. One or two Herbert appearances per season would still probably be more than enough.ĥ. But when he became the star of a two-minute musical number about him marrying Chris and having disgusting babies while he cleans the house all day, he officially had been overused. They did this a few times in the original seasons (Peter's knee injury was and still is classic), but now they come far too often, and usually end up actually going past the "keep it going until it's funny" limit and end up becoming less funny as they go on, until the gag abruptly ends rather anti-climactically.Ĥ. Family Guy is beginning to overuse mundane jokes that are forcefully carried on for much longer than necessary. Family Guy should stay simple because it is just that, no need to turn it into your glorified soapbox.ģ. One or two plots that intertwine, wacky flashbacks, a musical bit, and physical comedy to tie different story elements together, and the climax, where everything works out in the end, leaving a fresh slate for the next episode.
#Stewie the untold story uncensored moments series
I know that Family Guy is a show that pokes fun at everyone, which is great, but there's a difference between poking fun at people and shoving opinions down peoples' throats while using a nonsensical animated series as the medium.

I support their opinions and statements, but a wacky cartoon like Family Guy shouldn't be the show that pushes this agenda. It seems like every once in a while, Seth and the gang can't resist alienating half of their audience by inserting liberal messages into their episodes (stem cell research, gay marriage, etc.). getting too preachy in the later years during an episode in an earlier season). The show is getting preachy (rather ironically, since Peter once made a reference to M.A.S.H. Once they saw how well their original DVD sets sold, what better way to build on that success than to give people uncensored profanity that they couldn't see on TV? They are sacrificing good writing and legitimately funny comedy in favor of a raw, adult image for their DVD's and some extra money from the sales.Ģ.

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, the sole reason they throw F-bombs into the dialogue is so they can release the DVD and market it as "UNCUT AND UNCENSORED!" to make it more appealing to purchase. The word usage sounds completely forced, is timed horribly, and makes the entire dialogue of the scene feel awkward. However, in the new episodes, you can absolutely tell that the writers tried to find any old place they could squeeze one into, and almost every time they use it, it falls flat on its face comedically. It also was used pretty decently as far as comedic timing goes. Out of the original episodes before the first cancellation, one episode contained an F-bomb, and it was mainly used because they knew they were to be cancelled and they simply didn't care about their reputation. Almost every episode has at least one F-bomb somewhere in the dialogue. Here's some things about the show that need to be rethought and fixed, in my opinion.ġ. However, the show has lost a lot of appeal recently, and I feel that if this continues, it's going to self-destruct. In fact, I used to post on this board regularly.

As a fan of Family Guy since the beginning, I can assure you that I am not a troll.
